Preparándose para Cannes

Según se comenta aquí, la próxima edición del Festival de Cannes podría ser una de las mejores en mucho tiempo. Entre los posibles directores para la competencia figuran David Lynch ("Inland Empire"), Aki Karismauki ("Lights in the Dusk"), Ken Loach ("The Wind that Shakes The Barley"), Mohsen Makhmalbaf ("Scream of the Ants"), Kim Ki-duk ("Time"), Francis Ford Coppola ("Youth Without Youth") y su hija Sofia ("Marie Antoinette"), Pedro Almodóvar ("Volver"), Alejandro González Iñárritu ("Babel"), Woody Allen ("Scoop"), Brian De Palma ("Black Dahlia"), Jia Zhang-ke ("Still Life"), Nanni Moretti ("El caimán"), Gianni Amelio ("La stella che non c´è"), Marco Bellocchio ("Il regista di matrimoni"), Hirokazu Kore-eda ("Hana"), Volker Schlöndorff ("The Heroine") y Richard Linklater ("Fast Food Nation"), además -claro- de una larga lista de realizadores franceses.

Fuera de competencia se proyectará "Paris je t´aime", un conjunto de 20 cortos en homenaje a la capital francesa dirigidos por Jean-Luc Godard, Walter Salles, Alexander Payne, los hermanos Coen, Sylvain Chomet, Wes Craven, Tom Tykwer, Christopher Doyle, Alfonso Cuarón, Isabel Coixet, Olivier Assayas y Gus van Sant, entre otros
